Overview

The Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) is an external unit and one of the ten (10) campuses of the Mindanao State University System. It was established on July 12, 1968 as provided for by Republic Act (RA) 5363.

As such, we offer our students to choose from more than 115 academic programs offered which include 43 graduate programs in a variety of fields including education, business, arts and humanities, engineering, information technology, the natural sciences, and mathematics. They collaborate with more than 400 distinguished full-time faculty members passionate about teaching, research, extension, and community development. For these, MSU-IIT has received numerous institutional awards.

Based on the standards of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), MSU-IIT is a Center of Excellence in Mathematics and Chemistry, Center of Development in Physics and Biology, Center of Development for Excellence in Information and Communication Technology, Center of Development in Ceramics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Material Science Engineering. We are the Zonal Research Center for Regions XII, IX, & ARMM.

Likewise, based on the standards of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), MSU-IIT is the Information and Communication Technology Learning Hub for Northern Mindanao and the Virtual Center for Technology Innovation - Microelectronics.
